Lima - Airport (Arrival)

Welcome to Lima International Airport. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your local Travelous representative who will be holding a sign with your name printed on it. Transfer in a private vehicle with an English-speaking driver from the Airport to your hotel overnight.


200 Year Colonial Architectural Wealth (Lunch Included)

Known as the “City of the Kings,” Lima is a bustling city. Look around its central corners decorated by the colonial balconies, churches, and old houses. With your professional guide, you will feel the atmosphere of the contrast between the old and the modern of Lima. We will visit important places like the San Francisco catacombs, the Cathedral, and Plaza de Armas. Drive through the famous San Isidro and Miraflores districts on the way to one of the grand museums in South America, Larco Herrera Museum, where ancient cultures of the Americas are seen through a 3500-year-old Pottery exhibition. The Museum’s charming patio Café will wait for us with a delicious lunch. After a relaxing lunch, you will be taken back to your hotel to rest.

Cusco -En Route Llamas, Museum & Pisac View Point, Sacred Valley (Lunch Included)

Welcome to Cusco! You will be greeted by our local Travelous English-speaking representative who will meet you at the arrivals section of Cusco airport, and escort you to the Sacred Valley. Enjoy a Coca Tea welcome drink as you begin the journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The transfer from Cusco which is at 11,200 ft will take you to the Sacred Valley, nearly 2,000 ft lower. The Coca Tea is an ancient drink that helps with altitude and acclimatization.

En route to the Sacred Valley, we will make a cultural stop at “Sulca Textile Museum and a Llama and Alpaca Farm”. This experience will introduce you to the highland people’s iconic animals and the ancestral weaving textile art that their world-famous wool gave birth to.

You may feed the Llamas and Alpacas if you feel so inclined. In the afternoon, entering the Sacred Valley of the Incas, you will be able to appreciate the Archaeological site of Pisaq, recognized for its impressive Inca terraces. Already in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, your lunch will be waiting for you at Hacienda Sarapampa, a family business dedicated to the production of Cusco Giant White corn, an activity that has been maintained for three generations. After an hour's drive, you will arrive at your hotel in the valley to rest.


Sacred Valley of the Inkas (Lunch Included)

After a good night’s sleep, enjoy a full-day tour in the sacred valley. Visit the Salt Pan, an unusual, two thousand small, shallow ponds that have collected saturated subterranean water over the past 6000 years. Continue to the community of Misminay, from which we will do a gentle 1:15 hour hike to visit the concentric terraces of Moray from a unique vantage point.

We then drive for 30 minutes to the highland farming community of Chinchero, which cradles a beautiful baroque Church and a charming Inca town. We will crown the day with a delightful Picnic Lunch while enjoying a grand view of the imposing jagged glaciers of the Urubamba Mountain Range and its 18,000-foot peaks. (This service is on a private basis.)

Note: This afternoon you have to organize your luggage for your next day Machu Picchu trip. It is important to keep in mind that the trains to Machu Picchu only allow a 5 kg or 11 lb. carry-on bag. and a small backpack per person. The rest of the luggage will be sent with the driver to the hotel where you will stay upon your arrival


Explore Ollantaytambo, Train Station (Depart)

This morning your private guide will greet you at reception. Together you will transfer by private vehicle to the town of Ollantaytambo, approximately 20 minutes away. Being a few minutes from the train station that will lead you to Machu Picchu; you will enjoy a site of marvelous Inka engineering built on the steep slope of a mountain ridge. Explore its adjoining living town, water canal system, and courtyards dating back to the middle of the 15th century.

You will have around 40 minutes to visit the archaeological park of Ollantaytambo, another jewel of Inca engineering. Afterward, you will transfer to the train station (5 min. away). There you will board the train to Machu Picchu, in the company of your private guide.


Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu Pueblo

Travel to Aguas Calientes on board the Vistadome Valley Train, accompanied by your private guide. who will come to reveal the secrets about the last days of the Incas while riding through an exciting narrow gorge that will take you to a different lower environment called “the cloud forest”. Every now and then Incan sites will appear perched on the steep hills and waterfalls.


Explore Machu Picchu (Lunch Included)

After disembarking at Aguas Calientes (6,000 ft), board a bus for the short drive (30 min) to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, walk with your guide to Tinkuy Restaurant for a buffet lunch.


After lunch, There is no better time to stay at the site than in the afternoon, as it is bathed in warmer colors. Machu Picchu, a Marvel of Civil Engineering, is world-renowned as the Incas' jewel. It remained hidden in dense forest, naturally protected by sheer granite walls for almost 400 years. Your guides will proudly immerse you in its mysteries. Free afternoon to enjoy your time in the town of Aguas Calientes.

After your tour, your guide will escort you to your hotel in Aguas Calientes.


Note: Mosquito repellent and rain gear are highly recommended. You will be surrounded by the beautiful sceneries of the Peruvian cloud forest where exotic plants and humidity are perceived.


Machu Picchu at Sunrise

Today you will eagerly return to Machu Picchu for your second visit and tour the ruins with your tour guide. The early morning is one of the most magical moments to arrive at the site when the Sun shines rays of light that seem to follow the contours of its architecture. A chance to hike Waynapicchu mountains which is highly recommended.


Machu Picchu - Poroy (3 hrs)

Board the Vistadome train to Poroy station. The duration is 3 hours.


Poroy Train Station - Cusco (Arrival) (30 min)

Transfer in a private vehicle with your guide from Poroy Train Station to Cusco overnight. The duration is 30 minutes.

Cusco is one of the most charming cities in South America. It is a jewel of architecture and history as it combines Inca walls and Spanish construction in a delightful environment. We will visit the impressive Inca site of Saqsaywaman with its large blocks of stone, the once sumptuous Qoricancha or Temple of the Sun, and the city’s eclectic Basilica Cathedral. If you want to explore more of this charming city, the intriguing artisan San Blas district and its old alleys or the colorful live local Market of San Pedro are the perfect options in your free time.


Cusco - Airport (Depart)
